As a member of the ANZ Mars Financial Service (MFS) General Accounting Team the primary responsibilities of the function provide timely and accurate close of financial results. This role is accountable to the Senior Accounting Manager for continually driving recommendations to improve sub-processes that will reduce period close activities and improve first time accuracy. As systems accountant, you would be responsible for liaising with IT on new system requirements and work in a global team to implement system improvements. The role will provide systems training to Finance users, partnering with them with new system and reporting requirements, testing and implementation. It will have exposure to many areas within general accounting with opportunities to own processes and create process improvements. The successful candidate should be curious to learn new technologies to implement process improvements and be part of a team embarking on automation and robotics in Financial Services.
